Panel discussions always add a knowledgeable and interesting dimension to any event and let the audience know about the individual’s opinion about any specific topic. We have always encouraged interactive panel discussion sessions, and thought of making it a part of our 12-year mega celebration event arranged on 9th April 2023 at Novotel, Kolkata.
We chose ChatGPT as the topic of our insightful panel discussion, and tried to explore what our brilliant clients, talented engineers, and developers think of this new-age AI tool! The discussion was just wonderful, informative, and helped the audience gain deeper insight into this revolutionary tool. But first, find how ChatGPT is impacting different sectors rapidly.
Dramatic Changes Brought by ChatGPT In varied sectors
This AI tool reached millions of users just in a week in November 2022 and has an estimation to have 96 million users every month. In spite of starting as a text-generating tool, now spread its wings to different sectors.
ChatGPT eases the developers’ work, makes code learning easier, and increases their efficiency level.
For content writers, it has improved the quality of work and saved their effort and time.
Banking sectors also get impacted. They also count a lot on this tool and an AI development company for fraud detection, offering personalized financial advice to customers.
In the sales and marketing sector, it eases the tasks like ad copywriting and keyword analysis. The Healthcare sector is also no exception. Medical transcription makes treatments easier and also helps in summarizing patient records easily.
There’s no doubt that this next-gen AI tool has the potential to bring rapid changes throughout industries across the globe, and with time, it will keep improving!
Perspectives Our Great Participants
Now let’s move on to the core discussion. The participants of some brilliant people added an edge to that very special discussion session.
Getting our CEO Mr. Sabyasachi Saha as a host was a great experience for us. Other members helped in enriching the show by presenting their valuable opinions were:
- Michael Collins ( CTO of Techno Exponent)
- Jan D Smith ( Our respected client)
- Bobak Tavangar ( Our respected client- CEO of Brilliant Labs)
- Subhadip Paria ( Senior Software Developer)
- Uma Shankar Gupta ( web developer)
- Minarul Ali ( Mobile Application Engineer)
- Gourav Das ( Full-stack Developer)
The perspective of Mr. Collins:
How is AI/ML coming to the market, and how will it help the business?
Mr. Collins answers this question asked by Mr. Sabyasachi Saha beautifully. He felt the notable impact of applied AI, ML, whole flow, and neural networks in different ways. He also said the use cases of chatGPT will increase in the future, and every business owner needs to train their data for prediction making, and it will generate useful data in specific conditions.
So every business is supposed to take data from internal systems and apply that model strategically. Each business will use it for future prediction using current data to help in daily operations and future predictions. We must unlock its features. With time we keep unlocking these potentials.
The next question Mr. Saha was: Will there be a security violation if AI ML comes to the market?
Michael pointed out rightly that every advancement has pros and cons, and we should be ready to face them off, and security is one such issue. He added now, we are all going through a game-changing period and experiencing the wonders like multi-dimensional growth with metaverse, blockchain, and AR, VR, which is impacting our environment rapidly.
Our society and government should think collectively about how to keep up with these advancements. Security issues will be created with technological advancements. So, we should focus on strengthening our security models.
The perspective of Jan D Smith
Whether the upcoming versions of ChatGPT will help developers to do their work more efficiently or using our own trained models, can we proceed? And of course, how will it impact the business world? And the most interesting question MR. Saha raised whether ChatGPT will be revolutionary to the market.
Jan found it capable of bringing that revolution. According to him, despite getting started as a text-generating tool, now it has the power to impress in every sector like web designing, development, etc. He has emphasized the power of this tool in productivity enhancement.
Whether ChatGPT will replace human brains has always been a matter of debate! Mr. Smith pointed out that human aspects won’t be ignored at any cost despite the capacity of the tool in handling lots of crucial information. And we should work properly to take advantage of this AI tool. He also shared his various experimentations done with it, whether it can recognize a product name.
The viewpoint of Mr. Bobak
Whether ChatGPT is impacting the world? Bobak said: living in an “iPhone moment”, we can’t ignore their importance. Also, he described AI devices “ as an extension of our biology and minds’ eye”. And very correctly, he considered the AI tools like ChatGPT as the “amplifications of your natural biological powers, mindsight”, and it shows how we perceive the world.
Our question to Mr. Bobak was: Will boring and repetitive jobs like content writing and translation lose relevance? Or chatGPT will help in boosting their productivity?
Bobak has a different take on this. He thinks right now it’s like a furry friend and we can have fun with it. Besides, he further added it is not a tool to have fun with only.
90% of mediocre code writers can write better and faster codes by using auto-correction mode at an affordable price. As a result, the workforce in the IT industry will lose jobs. Bobak also opines, if it does everything economically, it would make no sense. Hence, we should use it properly and strategically.
Mr. Bobak still prioritizes the human brain and thinking power. He believes
Human brains are more intelligent and intuitive to make a better world for themselves in all adversities. And he also added it’s possible to sustain both human intelligence and ML.
The Perspective of Subhadip
Question of Mr.Saha to Subhadip was whether chatGPT will impact the job industry. He answered this is being used in different sectors. Subhadip said we can use them directly in the application model and we do not need to train our own models at all. Also, he describes it as a highly effective tool for the developers. Still, Subhadip does not consider it a game-changer.
The Perception of Uma Shankar
The question to him is whether AI tools like ChatGPT or Googlebot will impact the educational world. Uma also agrees it’s not a game-changer. He said within a short time, it brought change, but as of now, as a web developer, he takes help from chatGPT for memorizing the discussions. But it’s not capable of solving all problems, we’ll need the human brain as well!
The Perspective of Miranul
The question from Mr. Saha was: can AI tools make accurate predictions in different sectors? According to him, it can provide us with a moderate result as it’s now at the nascent stage. Many improvements are yet to come and we’ll wait to see what it has to offer!
The perspective of Gourav
How are emerging technologies helping developers? He pointed out that ChatGPT is good for increasing efficiency and code optimization. He also mentioned the evolving power of this tool. Ultimately it will help us to create our logic.
Summarizing the discussion
So, after his comment this interesting discussion came to an end.
Miranul concluded that humans have the responsibility to choose the right path. Subahdip questions whether any technology will come that will help us to predict the human future. Collins says accurate prediction is not possible, as AI tools are fed by old data. So, I’m not sure at this stage. Jan D Smith agreed that past data based can’t always be right. So, he thinks it is not going to change anytime soon.
And Mr.Saha ended it can’t predict the future, but of course, ChatGPT will play a crucial role in human life betterment and redevelopment!
In a nutshell, all opine that chatGPT has some immersive qualities, and they will be improved radically. But it might not have the capacity to replace the intuitive and innovative human brains ( at least at this stage).
So, it will be there and work constantly, to ease the repetitive and boring tasks. And all of us should make sure we are using chatGPT strategically and not letting the economy get impacted.
Conclusion
So, this thought-provoking panel discussion was like a treat for the people who want to explore this revolutionary AI tool and its advancements with the deepest vision. Every opinion of our respected guests helped us to see this tool in a whole new dimension! We will look forward to more in the future.
