Claims Service International Inc (CSI) is a moving claim resolution company that works as a professional adjuster that neutrally investigates the raised claim & offers a transparent settlement approach that is favorable for both parties. When a case comes, CSI first checks the claim details thoroughly, contacts customers, and gathers information such as the moving time & place, if any photos are available (before & after), damages details, if the product is insured or not, etc. Depending on the circumstances, CSI makes an understanding by following the rules & value proposition. But due to technical deficiencies, their business was facing huge problems! The site was very slow & couldn’t be operated properly. The database was not optimized. Technology upgradation

CSI needed to upgrade its technology to implement new functionalities. An outdated technology impacts the business negatively & eliminates the chances of welcoming new opportunities. Technology enhancement not only helps in improving the user experience but also increases business productivity notably! The site was in Doctrine ORM & PHP. We had to analyze the site & perform necessary executions to satisfy the project needs.

Speed enhancement

The old CSI website was very much in trouble due to the speed issues! When the project came to us, the site was very slow & the CSI internal team was struggling to work. But their existing development partner raised its hands & the client’s business was under pressure! Our goal was to improve the page speed & make it more flexible by advancing the website technologies.

Database optimization

The database needed to be optimized to improve performance & introduce new features as per the business requirements. Database optimization is very essential for smooth data accessibility, speed improvement & overall growth of the web presence that meets user expectations. We had to structure the database, change server configuration & perform SQL query optimization for speed improvement.

Features & functionalities addition

To fulfill customer demands & match with current market trends, every business should add new features & functionalities to their website from time to time. A site that has rich UI/UX, immersive features, hassle-free navigation, an easy payment gateway, etc can engage more customers in their business. CSI had a lot of new features & functionalities that were getting delayed for the page issues and it was really affecting their business.

Technologies used

Initially, the site was in PHP & Doctrine. We made the database optimization & implemented the new technology with Node & Angular. Our experts are performing smooth data transfer from the old site to the new one with module-by-module conversion & release them from PHP to Angular & Node. We are continuously working & developing features on this new site to make it more custom-centric & fit with current technology to maximize productivity.

Node.js

Node.js allows developers to write server-side code on both the frontend & backend easily. This helps a lot by saving time & costs and removing error possibilities effectively. Node.js has a lot of free tools. We have used Sequelize TypeScript & ORM which can layer over a lot of databases like Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite and SQL Server, and more. Sequelize helps in transactional support & loading speed enhancement and denies SQL injection vulnerabilities.

The huge community support, extensibility, code sharing & reuse facilities, etc have made Node.js a perfect fit for big projects.

Angular

Angular helps in building high-quality lightweight applications with efficient speed & functionalities. It has a huge community resource & unique problem-solving approaches to execute powerful implementations accordingly. For this project, we have used Angular Material as a UI component. Angular Material has unique features like cards, toolbar, speed dial, side nav, swipe, side nav, etc, and some excellent components like sliders, grid list, date picker, toolbar, icon, snack bar, progress spinner, chips, stepper, sort header, etc.

With enterprise-level solutions including end-to-end tooling, declarative templates, dependency injection, integration, etc Angular is highly popular in building useful web applications.

CSI works as a moving claim settlement agent. After raising a claim, as per the process flow, first, a registration agent contacts the customer on behalf of CSI & gathers information about the claim. The Case Manager handles the case. The Account Manager thoroughly analyzes the financial details. The Adjuster adjusts the claim & settles it for both ends. Each stage of the process demands effortless technical involvement & easy navigation to optimize the performance. But due to the lack of necessary technical executions, CSI was facing trouble moving to the next level! To resolve the issues of the site, we have introduced multiple business solutions that help to smoothen the operation, increase customer engagement & improve user satisfaction significantly!

We have introduced Dynamic Email settings that help the business to manage separate parts of a mail easily. Also, there is no need to create multiple emails to address different audience bases. Rather, with dynamic email settings, a single email can be switched into different patterns as per the need & releases in different formats according to the audience.

RingCentral API is used for calling, messages, meetings, tracking, etc. It serves as a compact collaboration of all the communication tools which has proved very easy to manage. RingCentral API is an all-in-one reliable solution that offers more flexibility, easy transition & enhanced security to help the business stay ahead of the competition.

We have changed the server configuration from GoDaddy to AWS.Code optimization has been performed perfectly to enhance performance. The unused code was removed. The database is cleaned & optimized. The unused tables were removed.

QuickBooks invoice system is used for payment gateway management. It’s very safe & easy to manage and offers different transactional options that serve a wide range of users & benefit the business.

As the business is getting bigger with these technical executions, we are converting the current payment gateway solution to Fluidpay, which is perfect for managing larger businesses and provides better security, flexibility, advanced features, incorporation options & more. We are moving towards Sentry for project management, which can help us in performance optimization & better project monitoring. We are also bringing Swagger for API documentation & design for enhanced API documentation & updating.
